There is something very special about holding a raw, rough gemstone in your hand.  With some stones you can feel the raw energy in it, as light shine through layers of it’s crystals.  This unique experience together with the fact that it took millions even hundreds of millions in some cases to form is quite amazing and what makes gemstones special and magical.

With me it started a long time ago when I used to travelled with my late geologist father in some of his field trips, he will point out different rocks sometime whole outcrop of rocks and tell me what they are made of and more importantly what might lie beneath it.  I was always intrigued by this.  

After doing my civil engineering course and working in various fields for different organisations, about ten years ago I decided to dedicate most of my time in the rough gemstone business.  As I’m from Tanzania I was spoilt for choice, I started with my contacts there and using my new home in Hong Kong as a base, start to bring cargos.

As time went by, I started to make contact with people in other African countries mainly DR Congo, Mozambique, Zambia and occasionally South Africa.  So now we bring a variety of gemstones from all these countries.  Meanwhile here in Hong Kong I also partnered in business with a Hong Kong based beads and jewellery manufacturer and supplier, so we decided to have a website where one can find a rare piece of great rough and also some very good quality jewellery at the same place.
